Lancy Mendonca – Enterprise Digital Architect
Lancy is a pragmatic and TOGAF-certified Enterprise/ Solution architect with over 20 years’ experience creating or contributing to architectures of IT solutions for the telecom and health care industries. He has developed, designed and architected solutions for highly scalable portals and ecommerce platforms, plus highly integrated and flexible business support systems.
He has worked for Tech Mahindra, British Telecom, Carphone Warehouse, TalkTalk, and Tesco Telecom, and specialises in enterprise architecture, enterprise integration, solution architecture, technology governance, data migration and TM Forum Frameworx.
He holds a B.Sc. in Physics and a BTech in Computer Science, is TOGAF 9 certified, and also holds certification in DataCamp and Introduction to R (edX 2.3). He is particularly passionate about the future of data, particular big data, data science and data analytics.
From 2007 – 2010, Lancy headed the Solution Architecture and Design team at TalkTalk, delivering a multi-million pound business transformation project for TalkTalk’s fixed line business that currently supports five million subscribers and a triple play product set (Fixed Line, Mobile, TV).
Then for Tesco Telecoms, Lancy provided technical governance and telecom domain knowledge to deliver a BSS solution to support the fixed line voice and broadband business. More recently he has been helping Truphone shape its Enterprise Application strategy and providing technical governance for end to end solution architecture in the following areas: CRM, billing, payments, order management & provisioning, GSM CS and PS networks, VOIP, Enterprise Product Catalog (EPC), sales & marketing.
Technically, Lancy is a certified Java developer and has a very good understanding of Enterprise Java and associated frameworks. He is also very proficient in service-oriented and event-driven integration architectures, having implemented them at TalkTalk and Tesco Telecoms.
