In 2025, Onepoint marked a noteworthy landmark: 20 years of delivering real business value through technology, AI, and data-driven solutions

Our year-long celebrations included a Gratitude Weekend at a serene venue, the Global Retreat Centre in Oxfordshire, England. The weekend was dedicated to reflecting on our journey, appreciating our community, and envisioning what’s ahead.

A journey built on trust

Our journey over the past two decades has been possible thanks to the trust and support of our clients, partners, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers. Every project, partnership, and innovation has been a step toward building Onepoint into what it is today.

The Gratitude Weekend wasn’t a typical corporate event. It was a time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. Members of the Onepoint family, long-time partners, and illustrious speakers came together to share a collective reflection on gratitude, resilience, and the evolving connection between humans and technology.

Opening reflections: The power of gratitude

The event began on a deeply personal note, led by Onepoint’s Founder and CEO, Shashin Shah. Speaking from personal experience, he reflected on his lifelong search for depth and meaning beyond roles or achievements and what led to the founding of Onepoint.

Invited participants shared reflections that elevated the room’s collective energy. Shashin spoke of how the team at Onepoint practises “Traffic Control”, pausing for a minute every hour to reflect, reset, and send positive thoughts into the world.

Navigating stress in the modern world

One of the sessions of the Gratitude Weekend on “Stress in the modern world: A guide to spiritual resilience and wellbeing” was led by eminent spiritualist Sister Jayanti. In an age of constant pressure and information overload, she shared how meditation and mindfulness build resilience and balance.

The conversation highlighted how unchecked stress can escalate to burnout, strained relationships, and even depression, underlining the urgency of developing inner resilience. The session concluded with a simple yet profound practice: taking a mindful pause before reacting.

Joy, laughter, and human connection

Between the reflective sessions, we had a fun and engaging bonding experience led by Marneta Viegas, who brought creative energy to the room. Dressed humorously as a “virus”, Marneta kept the session light-hearted and interactive with games, jokes, and plenty of good spirit. Her session was a reminder that a little fun goes a long way in building stronger teams in the business world

Understanding the essence of intelligence

Another session, “The essence of intelligence”, was led by Mike George, a seasoned trainer, coach, and Raja Yoga meditation teacher. In his session, Mike explored the different levels of human intelligence and how they shape our decision-making and awareness.

Through humour and relatable examples, Mike encouraged participants to recognise and cultivate intuition as an essential form of intelligence that connects intellect with inner wisdom.

AI and humanity: Staying human in the age of machines

The final session, “AI and Humanity”, explored one of today’s most pressing questions: How can we remain deeply human in an age of intelligent machines?

Facilitated by Phillipa Blackham through a mix of quick-fire questions and open dialogue, participants first reflected on their own relationship with AI and how many had used Gen AI, paid-for premium tools, or turned to AI for emotional support. The room’s varied responses revealed a collective curiosity tempered by concern.

The discussion evolved into an engaging dialogue between Hugo Pickford-Wardle, an AI optimist and founder of Sherpa; Chris Wray, a consultant helping businesses integrate AI; and Sister Manda, a spiritual guide helping individuals navigate change.

Together, they offered contrasting yet complementary perspectives on technology, business, and spirituality, converging on a single theme: how to remain human in the age of intelligent machines. The consensus was clear: the future belongs not to artificial intelligence but to authentic intelligence, the ability to act with awareness, compassion, and wisdom. (We will be exploring this topic in greater depth in an upcoming article. Look out for a dedicated article on AI and humanity coming soon.)

Moments of stillness

The Gratitude Weekend wasn’t all structured sessions and deep dialogue. Between conversations, participants had time to breathe, wander along the peaceful lake, simply pause to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding them, and reconnect with themselves. These moments of personal reflection offered space to process insights, recharge, and reconnect.

Looking ahead

Our series of year-long gratitude events was a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported Onepoint over the last 20 years. Your trust, collaboration, and encouragement have shaped our journey, and we look forward to many more years of shared success.

As we look ahead to the next decade, Onepoint will continue to combine technology with thoughtfulness, using AI, data, and automation not just to power progress but to elevate people. The future lies in conscious innovation, where human values guide intelligent systems and where gratitude, awareness, and compassion remain our true competitive advantage.
